Job Description

Child Guidance Resource Centers is a private, non-profit community organization providing high quality, community-based services to children, adolescents and families with behavioral health challenges, developmental disabilities and residential needs. If you share our passion, CGRC is seeking talented and caring part-time Outpatient Therapists to become a part of the Outpatient Department at our CHOP location.  

The Outpatient Therapist is responsible for providing ongoing individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and their families. Outpatient Therapists must work a minimum of 9 hours per week, and must be able to work evening hours (5-8pm Monday through Thursday). 

Requirements: 

  • Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related behavioral health field required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in child and family therapy.
  • Knowledge of crisis management techniques, including de-escalation strategies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to provide a minimum of 9 hours per week, evening availability required. Additional hours are available. 
  • Responsible for maintenance of clinical records including progress notes, treatment plans and other documentation in accordance with accreditation and licensing standards, managed care expectations, and agency policy and procedures.
  • Attend supervision biweekly for initial 90 day period, and once a monthly subsequently, as well as one group supervision per month.
