Job Description

Child Guidance Resource Centers has several openings for part time Outpatient Therapists to work in our Outpatient Services Department in our Philadelphia County location.   

The Outpatient Therapist is responsible for providing ongoing individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and their families. Case assignments will be in the office. Outpatient Therapists are required to work a minimum of five (5) hours per week and must be able to work flexible week hours including day and evening.  

Requirements:   

• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, nursing, rehabilitative or activity therapy or related behavioral health field required; special education not accepted as behavioral health field. 
• Licensed in respective field preferred. 
• Minimum of one (1) year experience working with children, adolescents and families.  
• Able to clinically address emotional/psychological needs of child/adolescent and family. 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required. 
• Knowledge of crisis management techniques, including de-escalation strategies. 
• Must be able to provide a minimum of 5 hours per week, with evening availability preferred. Additional hours are available.  
• Responsible for maintenance of clinical records including progress notes, treatment plans and other documentation in accordance with accreditation and licensing standards, managed care expectations, and agency policy and procedures. 
• Attend supervision weekly for initial 90 period, and once monthly subsequently, as well as one (preferably two) group supervisions per month.
