Job Description

CGRC’s Director of Performance Improvement, Compliance, & Risk manages the Joint Commission accreditation and requirements of third-party contractual obligations.  This role is responsible to ensure compliance with federal, state, and county regulations as it relates to all contracts.  The Director manages the organization’s performance improvement initiatives, utilization review, and environment of care.  Additionally, this position oversees the organization’s safety and risk functions.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of the organization’s overall Performance Improvement (PI) program, which includes all programs and services in the organization.
  • Serve as Chairperson of Performance Improvement Committee and Compliance Officer for the organization and as Chairperson of the Corporate Compliance Committee.
  • Guide, assist and coordinate the organization’s efforts toward continuous Joint Commission accreditation.
  • Serve as resource person for instruction of data collection, data availability, and requirements of outside agencies regarding review and evaluation activities.  
  • Evaluate processes and provide strategic and organizational performance improvement through consultation, technology enhancements, education, analysis, and reporting where appropriate.
  • Actively facilitate committees related to risk management, safety, corporate compliance, environment of care, utilization management, and performance improvement.
  • Serve as liaison between the CEO, the Quality Board Committee, and the Performance Improvement Council.
  • Develop and implement the organization’s risk management program in a manner that fulfills the mission and strategic goals of the organization while complying with state / federal laws and accreditation standards related to safety and risk management.
  • Oversee the review and refinement of scope for the Patient Safety Program within the facility on an annual basis.
